Born in Cleveland, Ohio, and currently residing in Brooklyn, New York, Sky has been developing himself as a modern day renaissance man. Graduating fifth in his class from the Cleveland Institute of Art with a BFA in Industrial Design and a minor in graphic design Sky, born John Davison, has earned two international design awards, holds two product design patents, an inventory of freelance work developed for companies such as Cannondale, Nike, and Philips Consumer Electronics Company, and experience as co-owner of a prestigious design consultancy.

With a history of graffiti ,writing and model building as an adolescent, industrial and graphic design seemed to be perfect fits. However, those were mere stepping stones to other artistic experiences and endeavors. Travelling the country right after college, Sky’s interests were sparked in not just design, but painting, illustration, furniture building, and writing. After fifteen years in the product design field, it was time for a change.

Today you will find Sky tattooing (his latest love), on stage performing spoken word, or parked somewhere off in the shadows hunched over sketching in one of many black books. Currently he is working on a collection of illustrations, writing a survival guide for bipolar in minority communities, as well as designs for some exciting new products.
